"My biggest influence as an artist is that I grew up during the birth of the internet, as the last generation to learn by both analog & digital processes."

DAN DOWDING was raised in the New England town of Westerly, Rhode Island. He explored the analog video process making movies on his parents VHS camera editing the tapes deck-to-deck. He was awarded "Director of the year" in 2008 for his thesis film at the Savannah College of Art & Design which went on to screen at festivals worldwide. Dan has since worked for numerous Networks in Los Angeles California as a professional editor for over a decade most notably Spectrum, LA Times, Al Jazeera America & FOX. 

In 2016, he formed his own company, MEDIA POLLUTION, a video installation collective that merges recycled technologies with new media to create interactive electronic installations.
